Port Quin Cornwall England Poldark Location Jigsaw Puzzle
The tiny cove and harbour of Port Quin was used extensively in the filming of the original series of Poldark in the 1970s. It was transformed into Sawle Village and was also the location of the wrecking scene Doyden Castle above the cove was used as Dwight Enys’ house and one of the cottages shown here was used for filming Andrew Blamey’s house. A sad legend surrounds Port Quin in that it is believed that the hamlet was abandoned after a terrible storm when all the menfolk who were out in their boats fishing perished in one night. Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
