Ponte Della Paglia, Venice (1899) by Maurice Prendergast is a vintage post impressionism fine art mosaic like painting. There are boats in the harbour and an Italian flag is flying. The buildings have classic Italian architecture designs. A cityscape in Venice, Italy with crowds of people walking by the waterfront houses and a bridge that spans a Venetian canal. About the artist: Maurice Brazil Prendergast (1858-1924) was an American Post Impressionist artist who worked in oil, watercolor, and monotype. The style of his art had a mosaic like beauty.
