This photo shows that even a plant that is classified as a weed can be beautiful. The dark purple berries of the Pokeweed plant contrast well with the magenta stems, and make a lovely combination with the teal coloured background. Some berries are as yet unripe, coloured light green. Pokeweed is also known as Pokeberry, Pokeroot, Inkberry, and simply Poke. Pokeweed is used as a food in some parts of the Southern US, referred to as Poke Salad, though all parts of the plant are poisonous to mammals - it must be boiled 3 times with the water being discarded each time. It is also being researched for use in solar power. DO NOT EAT POKE unless you are trained in the preparation of it.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
