Pitcher with Oranges Poster
Pitcher with Oranges is a still life painted in oil on canvas.
Bring the magic and beauty of this stil life painting in your home.
A still life (also known by its French title, nature morte) painting is a piece that features an arrangement of inanimate objects as its subject. Usually, these items are set on a table and often include organic objects like fruit and flowers and household items like glassware and textiles. The earliest known still life paintings were created by the Egyptians
In this particular Still Life I liked to highlight the balance between the colors of the pitcher and the oranges. The ancient shape of the pitcher is a wonderful contrast to the simplicity of the fruits. A nice setup for an afternoon tea to welcome friends.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
