Note from artist Mary Kunz Goldman: I painted this pineapple from life -- from a pineapple I bought at Aldi. I'm glad I have this memento of how pretty it was! The pineapple is the symbol of hospitality, and this image to me, so whimsical and tropical, conjures up images of Florida, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Bright as the sun, it can welcome guests and bring warmth to any day. The beautiful quote from Aeschylus completed the sentiment. This would be a lovely hostess gift or guest room decor. It would be great for a hotel or B&B!
