Pigs at a Trough (Farmyard Animals) Ceramic Tile
This design features a painting by the English artist George Morland (1763–1804). It shows two pigs eagerly eating carrots from their troughs. The fat creatures are happy as they consume their food. There is a hay on the floor and a rustic hut beside them. The two piggies have pink skin that is covered in hair; they also have long ears and big snouts. Pigs have often been seen as greedy and easily contented creatures.
