A beautiful reproduction of "Doges' Palace, Venice" an oil on canvas painting created in 1881 by French impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841 – 1919) who was a leading painter in the development of the impressionist style. Doge's Palace is one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice in northern Italy. Built in Venetian Gothic style it was the residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former Venetian Republic. It opened as a museum in 1923 and today it still operates as such.
