Piano Notes: The Well-Tempered Clavier Poster
This unique design visualises which parts of a piano keyboard are played the most in each of the 24 preludes and fugues that comprise Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier and provides a wealth of information about the aural properties of this composition. Each circle represents a single key, and the size of the circle reflects how frequently that key was pressed. The horizontal location of the note correlates to the location of the key on the keyboard, and the colour of the circle indicates the pitch of that key. As a former piano player myself, I really enjoyed making this project, combining my interest in data, coding, and design to "see" music in a different way!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
