PHONICS poster or game cards!

PHONICS taught in a NEW way! We ONLY focus on the sounds of the letters, because that is how we read most words. The letter NAME will be mentioned after the basic SOUNDS are learned. It is sung to the tune of the classic alphabet song, BUT ONLY sing the SOUNDS. The lowercase letter is shown first, because that is how we read most words. The images are original art works done by a USA artist and former teacher. The images are visual aids to help to learn the sounds, but they are secondary to the letters. Each image has the letter repeated 6 times to help remind us to sing JUST THE SOUND! A NEW WAY! Just when you think it is not working, DO NOT STOP! It will eventually happen. When the learner recognising the letter and says it's SOUND, that's the beginning of reading. Lots of fun and the brain learns information faster when it is sung. This poster can be cut on the dotted line to make game cards. One simple game is taking turns flipping over the cards to sing it's sound. It's a win- win game! If the learner get the SOUND wrong, you say, "ALMOST!", and sing it correctly, or play, Follow the Leader, where the learner repeats after you. When all the cards are sung the game is over! "Hip-hip-hooray!" The game is called "HIP-hip HOORAY!" You may want to buy two poster, one for the wall, for all to refer too often, and one to make the game cards. Great gift, the gift of learning.
