Fraternity leaders visited US President Calvin Coolidge (Amherst 1895) at the White House on January 23, 1926. It was part Phi Gamma Delta's Section Chiefs' Conference. Said the fraternity magazine, "The President is genuinely interested in the fraternity, not only because of his own associations with it, but because his son John is a member at Amherst." I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
