Peter Pangolin Poster
Peter Pangolin is one of Susan Gainen's "small friends." He is featured in The Small Friends' Chronicles, a 70-page collection of whimsical creatures' portraits and stories.
Pangolins are anteaters, and native to Africa and Asia. Peter was allergic to ants and termites, and, hence, was a sickly little pangolin. He was sent to France by a helpful member of Veterinarians Without Borders who came from a family of truffle hunters. Her family nursed Peter back to health and he is now a famous truffle hunter. Unlike pigs, who also hunt truffles, Peter is in it for sport (and for the money).
He meets his friend French LLLama (from Meet the LLLamas) every month in Paris, and they spend the day eating croissants and Peter's absolute favourite food, chocolate truffles.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
