The photos are definitely clear and there is a nice gloss finish that will protect them. A one of a kind, timeless gift! I loved this product so much, that I ordered another for myself, and that one arrived over a week earlier than estimated. Hint: order gray or lighter color for hour and minute hands on a darker clock face. Beautiful!!! All the personalization choices are fantastic and printing is absolutely clear.
