Pericles Portrait & Quote: What you leave... Coffee Mug

Pericles (c. 495-429 BC) was the leader of the ancient Greek city-state of Athens at its golden age. This design features his portrait as pictured on the Greek 20 drachma coin and this quote: "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others". Ironically, Pericles is to this day remembered for the marvel that is the Athens Acropolis. And now for the shady bit: Pericles is always depicted with his helmet on because he had an oddly shaped skull.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
