Pennsylvania Railroad Locomotive GG-1 #4800 Metal Ornament

Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 (electric)Locomotive #4800. It is shown here in 1942 in Philadelphia Pa. This Locomotive (motor), the Prototype of the GG-1 class, was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works In Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and General Electric in August,1934. This was the only riveted body GG-1, (known as "Old Rivets") of 139 that were built for the PRR. GG-1 #4800 was retired in 1979 by Conrail after running 5 million miles in 45 years of freight and passenger service. It’s a beautiful ornament. The silver is nice quality-it is smaller than I expected so just check the measurements of what you need. Turned out great for my son and his girlfriend to give them for Christmas to honor the first home they bought this year! It looks good, just hard to read the text because of the print and size.
