This Horizon (Cold April Walk) watercolor painting was created after going for a walk by Chicago's Lake Michigan. It was a very cold April morning, and the lake was filled with large waves in the strong wind. The peach sky hints that it's springtime, even though it's cold, and the dark blue water with touches of vibrant pink-red suggests the dramatic waves in the lake.Together they present a pleasing seascape, with the peaceful, pastel sky suggesting the wind will subside soon and warmer days and calmer waters will prevail. This greeting card is a perfect choice for anyone who loves watercolors - or who has visited Chicago and enjoyed a walk by Lake Michigan. It makes a nice "just because" card, too, with its vibrant mix of colours.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
