Hot Air Balloons rising into the sky at sunset over Lewiston /Auburn Maine. .... As if by magic, the wind ceased and the air became motionless, though we were rising and moving forward at speed of the wind. It was the earth that moved away, revealing her soft round horizon as cities and towns became abstract designs. For the rest of the journey we lived in the currents of the air, allowing fate a freehand.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
