Paul Signac Bonaventure pine CC1265 Pointillism XL Poster

Poster inspired by a beautiful landscape painting by French artist Paul Signac, The Bonaventure pine (Le pin de Bonaventura a Saint-Tropez) 1893 . What I like most about about this painting is how sunlight is shimmering through the needles and branches of the pine tree. It kind of makes me think of a stained glass window in a church. I'm also a little fascinated by the painting technique of Paul Signac, called pointillism. The idea was to use small dots of pure colour, juxtaposed in a scientific way, and let the human brain do the colour blending and the creation of the picture. Looking closely at the painting, seing all those contrasting dots, it is still beautiful, but hardly cohesive. The image file is really great. I have added just a little bit of sunshine, removed the signature (to make it easier to transfer the design to other products) and also cleaned the edges of he painting. Please also note that this image is quite large, large enough for the XL poster size.
