The Cargo Ship, PAUL H. TOWNSEND, was built in 1945 by the US War Ship Administration as the COASTAL DELEGATE. In 1952 she was renamed and converted into a self-unloading cement carrier. The PAUL H. TOWNSEND is 447 feet long, with a Beam of 50 feet, Depth of 29 feet, Capacity in mid-summer of 7,850 tons, and Diesel Power is 2,150 b.h.p. In this photo she is docked in Muskegon, MI.
