Patriots Poster

A poster for the National Day of Patriots. Several symbols of the patriotic struggles can be seen here: The Arrow Belt, a traditional symbol, The eagles, in reference to the titles of the Brothers Hunters, a secret patriotic society, The Tricolor Patriot, the flag of the Lower Canada Struggles The flag of the Republic of Canada The portraits of Edmund Bailey O’Callaghan, Irish Patriot, Louis-Joseph Papineau, French Canadian Patriot and Wolantic fred Nelson, a Canadian-English patriot. An allegorical figure bearing the Pharisean cap, a Republican symbol, A flower of lilies, a more current symbol, to make the link between Lower Canada and Quebec, Des leaves d’erables, a Canadian-French symbol and finally, the church of St-Eustache, the last bastion of the patriotic battles. — Note: Compared to the church, I had to rely on the present architecture, because there were no older references. Graphically speaking, I was inspired by modern artists who specialize in posters, such as Godmachine and Aiden Hugues.
