This piece was created on a very personal level. This is parkinson's awareness month. One half of our team has had young onset parkinson's for 9 years now. The other half is her caregiver. The hourglass holds a tulip which is the recognised flower of parkinson's. Day by day the sand falls and time is running out for those of us that suffer with this illness. I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her. Unfortunately my first order was deemed lost in the mail which meant it didn't arrive in time to give my daughter when she finished Uni.
