Another piece from my Myths & Mermaids show at Pop Gallery Orlando at Downtown Pandora is a new painting based on the "Pandora's Box" myth. In my interpretation, she has already opened the box and behind her is a scene inspired by mediaeval monsters and demons along the lines of Hieronymus Bosch, Bruegel, and Huys (representing the evils of humanity released from the box). Amidst all the chaos, the last critter out of the box is "Hope" - which I have chosen to represent as a glowing butterfly. The butterfly and the innocence of Pandora's soulful dark eyes make this a painting of hope, despite the evils of the world. The original painting herself sold at the show, but I have prints, posters & other merchandise available! ******PLEASE NOTE - FEEL FREE TO CHANGE SIZES, PAPER TYPE, ADD A FRAME, MATTING, OR LEAVE IT AS A PLAIN PRINT!******

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
