PAKE SALMON - HAWAIIAN FINE ART CALENDAR 2024

Aloha! My name is Pake (Pah-kay) Salmon. I am an indigenous creator living here in Hawaii, my homeland. Surfing, filmmaking, art, music are part of my passions and teaching kids how to tell their story along our beaches too. Where all our kids find solace, peace, and their cultural heritage. This calendar is special because it is very unique content that I created. It is NOT you're normal Hawaii commercial calendar. All images were created spiritually and took a lot of time to create which is part of my traditional practice as an image maker. From the mountains to the oceans, guided by the stars and my ancestors, this calendar is surely to bring you peace and serenity and the inspiration from a native Hawaiian storyteller! Some of these proceeds will go to help in the funding of my newly created 501c3 Non Profit organisation dedicated to teaching kids how to tell their own stories and histories through the medium of film and how to share their stories and histories on Youtube in perpetuity for future generations. Hopefully, many of them will become successful in the creator economy which would help them and their families out of poverty. I live in Waianae, Oahu and many of our kids are native Hawaiians who need to be uplifted and their talents nurtured so they can realise that anything is possible. In ancient Hawaii there lived a class of supernatural beings. They were little people with great strength and Mana (divinity) and who would help the Kanaka Maoli people by building fishponds overnight and many other things the people needed. I decided to call this organisation Menehune Film Academy. We have already made partnerships nationally and internationally with other Pacific Islanders to come to Hawaii and do photo/film/storytelling workshops with our kids.
