I have always been fascinated by the beauty and robustness of the Viking Ships and wanted to make an illustration based on current knowledge about what the Oseberg Viking Ship may have looked like around AD 800. The illustration is based on written sources, photos, my own observations, blueprints from the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo and a consultation with Jan Bill, Professor of Viking Age Archaeology at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.

I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her.
