"Cream" from Seductive Beauties series 2009 By Georgie Youl About this series. This photo is from a series of photographs I have taken at Seductive Beauties 2009, a rare Orchid exhibition, including some 1,500 orchids, a remarkable travertine department and the rare Eastern Island Tree held at the Botaniska Tradgard (Botanical Gardens), Gothenburg in Sweden. The Gothenburg Botanical Garden differs in many respects from most traditional botanical gardens on the European continent. It was conceived and planned by the municipality of Gothenburg (Göteborg) in the 1910's as a botanical garden with an extra emphasis on horticulture, and with a broad scope in the Swedish community life. It remains a public garden to this day. Botaniska Tradgard has over 16.000 different species and its enormous rock-garden has received three stars in the Guide Michelin. Plants are arranged geographically (Europe, Asia and America) and include everything from Swiss Edelweiss to hardy cacti from Canada. About TTV Through the Viewfinder photography is defined as taking a picture of a subject through the viewfinder of a camera with another camera. I have a few different cameras, most of my shots are using a (modern) Canon EOS digital combined with a Vintage Kodak Duaflex. TTV photos are typically grainy and vintage looking, including stray hairs and dust as found on the vintage camera viewfinder. These add to the vintage charm of these special photographs.
