The beautiful orangutan on this mug is one of hundreds of orangutan orphans being cared for and prepared for eventual release back into the rainforest. Rebecca Reeder donates her profits from the sale of this mug to support the Orangutan Care Centre on the island of Borneo, where she is a volunteer. Orangutans are sometimes mistakenly called monkeys, but they - like gorillas and chimps - are great apes. Orangutans are known for their pretty red hair, intelligence, and gentle nature.
