This scene from Orange Beach, Alabama was almost a picture that didn't happen. While I was taking shots of the gorgeous sunset, I saw this fellow fly in, looking for crabs to eat. Just as I was moving in to take my shots of him, I heard two small children pounding up the beach behind me squawking about the big bird. Thankfully, their mum caught them before they could scare the heron away. Thank goodness for small favours!

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!! a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
