Ophelia - John William Waterhouse Poster
Ophelia - John William Waterhouse (1849—1917) was an English Pre-Raphaelite painter who is most famous for his paintings of female characters from Greek and Arthurian mythology. Waterhouse was one of the final Pre-Raphaelite artists, being most productive in the latter decades of the 19th century and early decades of the 20th, long after the era of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Because of this, he has been referred to as "the modern Pre-Raphaelite", and incorporated techniques borrowed from the French Impressionists into his work.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
