Once upon a midnight dreary...... begins the Edgar Allan Poe's 1845 poem, "The Raven." This is the piece also that began my series (of the same title) with the Hamilton Collection & Bradford Exchange. So - if this painting looks familiar, it's probably because you've seen the ads & mailers for my figurine collection, hehe. This little gothling is sitting by the light of the moon, feather quill & scroll in hand, writing her own poem as ravens fly about (no doubt cawing ominously). This is my own original acrylic painting, I debuted it at FaerieCon 2010 in Baltimore (home of course to EA Poe himself!). I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
