Alone among the states, Ohio uses a non-rectangular flag, known as a burgee. Because of the unusual shape, it does not lend itself well to the heart shape, so has been turned sideways. When selecting this item on clothing, please be aware that any white parts may not appear as white on lighter fabrics, and dark fabrics should be chosen to contrast with the design.
