Rossioglossum grande, one of several species known as tiger orchids, is an orchid native to the area from Chiapas, Mexico to Costa Rica. Jean Jules Linden was a 19th century Belgian botanist, explorer, horticulturist and businessman. He specialised in orchids and travelled the world documenting the flowers, painting / illustrating them and writing several books about the gorgeous plant.
