Nubble Lighthouse Poster
Nubble Lighthoue is a local tourist attraction in York Maine. You can drive right up close to see it sitting across the channel. Its located between short and long sands. This painting was done while sitting on a bench right there. I have been going there since I was little. It was a Sunday drive about 1/2 hour away from home for my family. We would leave at 9 and be back home by 1:30, always wondered why, Mum said, we all got sunburns, she wanted the little ones to have their naps, she would have one too and Dad wanted to watch the Red Socks game!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
