Saint Catherine of Alexandria lived in the 4th century, and is the patron saint of attorneys, barristers, educators, jurists, lawyers, librarians, mechanics, millers, philosophers, potters, preachers, scholars, secretaries, spinners, stenographers, students, teachers, theologians, and unmarried women. She debated the faith with learned men and succeeded in converting 200 at one time to Christianity. It is said that angels carried her body to the foot of Mt. Sinai after her death. She is an example of steadfast faith and strength in the face of adversity.
