Northern Flicker Woodpecker in the Sun Post-it Notes

Celebrate nature with these sticky notes, which feature a woodpecker getting its dose of Vitamin D on a late winter's day. Handsome here played a drum solo on the neighbour's chimney. It was quite the "riveting" performance -- but should come as no surprise, as Northern Flickers have natural showmanship tendencies. It was unusual to see the male near the fruit trees, as it is often the female who visits the suet block on the other side of the fence. Photographed on March 1, 2018.
