Night's Rest was originally created as a beautiful Art Nouveau style colour lithograph in 1899 as a decorative panel by Czech decorative and jewellery artist, Alphonse Mucha. It shows a portrait of a woman, wearing a flowing gown, asleep in the evening with a decorative floral archway over her.
