We are not lesser than abled neurotypical people, we are different and that's okay. Be proud of who you are. We have to fight to have our voices heard. Disabled people are far too often excluded from the conversation about disability. It's not right, and honestly a bit ridiculous. Who knows what we need better than we do? Don't be ashamed of your disability, it's part of you like any other thing is. We need acceptance, not awareness.
