Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square Poster
Trafalgar Square stands mid-way between London's west end shopping and the city. A statue of Admiral Nelson towers over the square, commemorating his victory at Trafalgar in the 19th century. The square is a pedestrian precinct, elegantly laid out with fountains and statues at each corner, and is overlooked from the north by the facade of the National Gallery. To the west lies theatre-land, and to the east/south there are views towards Westminster and Big Ben, and the Mall towards Buckingham Palace. Taken on a sunny summer afternoon, this image looks across the square towards Nelson's Column. The square is bustling with visitors and the tower of Big Ben can be seen on the horizon.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
