One of our two beautiful kitties that we adopted from the Cleveland APL in April, 2000.
I named her Nedda after the heroine in Leoncavallo's famous opera, I Pagliacci.
I thought of Teresa Stratas at the opening of the second scene singing “Qual fiamma avea nel guardo!” Not the first part, about how jealous her husband is, but when she looks up at the doves fluttering away into a golden sky and sings the long. lyrical musing about the spirit and dreams of the doves that begins “Oh! che volo d'augelli, e quante strida!”
She struck me as birder.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
