Narcissus Tie

A fractal interpretation of the Greek legend of Narcissus. Narcissus, son of the God Cephissus (associated with the river Cephissus in Thrace) and the nymph Liriope, was extremely proud of his good looks. As a result he was arrogant and dismissive of all around him. Nemesis, the god of divine retribution took note of Narcissus and attracted him to a pool of water in which he saw his own reflection. Narcissus fell in love with his reflection, not realising it was merely an image. Narcissus was unable to tear himself away from his own reflection and eventually drowned. The term narcissism,a fixation with ones' self and how how they are seen by others, comes from this legend.
