Nan Madol Micronesia Magnet

Nan Madol is an archaeological site consisting of a series of small artificial islands linked by a network of canals, often called the 'Venice of the Pacific.' Built using massive basalt logs and coral fill, it was the ceremonial and political seat of the Saudeleur Dynasty. The ruins are a feat of engineering, with structures rising directly from the mangrove swamps and the edge of the ocean. The site feels mysterious and timeless, as the dark stone walls are slowly reclaimed by the creeping vines and shadows of the Pohnpei jungle.
