My Grandmother's Freesias - Ceramic Ornament

My grandma always kept a lovely garden - full of quaint "cottage garden" plants. The old fashioned variety of freesias were among these. Every year they would emerge, late winter into early spring, in her garden in Melbourne and some would make their way into her home where they would fill the rooms with their glorious scent. A number of years ago, Grandma gave me a handful of freesia bulbs and I have been enjoying the blooms in my own garden ever since. They are even more special to me since my grandma moved on to her heavenly garden. Recently, I cut some freesias from my garden and put them in an art deco vase in my house and produced a charcoal drawing featuring the two. The artwork is an additional reminder of someone I love dearly and I trust that it may procure similar memories and feelings for you too,
