This image consists of 12 hyperrealist oil paintings by Jeff Bartels each of which features hands playing different musical instruments. Each panel is done in black and white with strong light and shadows which creates an very dramatic effect. The image is constructed with 3 paintings across and 4 paintings tall which gives a tiled effect. The 3 panels that run along the top are the trombone, flute and guitar followed by a turntable, singer and saxophone underneath. Just below those are the bass guitar, keyboard and cornet with a drum machine, snare drum and violin running along the bottom. This very dramatic piece is perfect for all lovers of music.
