To the immediate right are the 96 switchbacks down to Trailcamp by the middle lake, above which rises Wotans Throne at centre right. Farther back/right is Consultation Lake. Barely visible way down Lone Pine Creek valley is Lone Pine Lake, just a few miles above the Whitney Portal trailhead. Mt Whitney is hidden behind the ridge at centre. California, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sequoia National Park, Mt Whitney Trail, Trailcrest. John Muir Trail Mile 212.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
