Mountain Lake, Forest, Black and White (portrait) Poster
This is a unique shot of a Serene Lakes in the high sierras of California. I decided instead of doing your typical lake scene that I'd use the trees as a sort of improvised frame. This provides a viewing experience similar to that of walking through the woods and finding a hidden lake behind the trees. There are 4 versions of this scene (see the others below): Landscape colour, landscape B&W, portrait colour, portrait B&W. Note that the portrait is actually a different photograph of the same scene (so you don't loose any pixels/resolution for choosing portrait). I shot in the surrounding area for a week and came back with several images I've posted as prints. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
