Mount Monadnock New Hampshire Travel Postcard

Mount Monadnock New Hampshire Travel Postcard

Mount Monadnock, located in southwestern New Hampshire near the town of Jaffrey, is one of the most frequently climbed mountains in the world, thanks to its striking profile, accessible trails, and panoramic views. Rising to an elevation of 3,165 feet (965 m), it stands as a lone granite peak unconnected to larger ranges, which inspired the geological term “monadnock” for any isolated hill or mountain. Its open summit offers sweeping 360-degree vistas of New England, including the Green Mountains of Vermont, the White Mountains to the north, and even Boston’s skyline on exceptionally clear days. The mountain is protected within Monadnock State Park, featuring a network of well-marked trails such as the popular White Dot and White Cross routes for steep, direct ascents, as well as longer, more gradual approaches like the Dublin or Pumpelly trails. Hikers encounter rocky scrambles, spruce forests, and alpine-like bare ledges near the top. Mount Monadnock’s dramatic scenery and relative ease of access have inspired writers like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, who praised its solitude and beauty. With no roads or buildings on its summit and strict conservation measures in place, it remains a pristine and rewarding destination for hikers of all skill levels.

Exactly what I wanted, it is very difficult to acquire Vintage Australiana items. I am so please that I ordered 8 I will be using them for my scrap booking and Junk Journaling. Gorgeous, Zazzle produced and delivered exactly what I wanted.

Way better quality than I ever expected. I love the colours, font and quality of the card. I'm so pleased I found Zazzle as it is near impossible to purchase Vintage or Retro Australian memorabilia online. I chose this design when I purchased them. They are perfect for my projects. I was very specific about what I wanted. I know where to come now when I need to order similar items.

Perfect for the occasion I was using it for. I was able to delete the lines so I could put in more wording. Had an envelope so the address side wasn't necessary. Print quality and paper quality lovely.
