Popular Mother's Day Cards

We’re very close to our mothers here at Zazzle – some of us are even writing these FAQs under their strict supervision. To impress and delight your mother, grandmother, godmother, stepmother, aunt or mother-in-law, take a look through the following pages and choose a card that fits their specific personality or interest. • First Mother’s Day Cards: Becoming a mother for the first time is a beautiful, memorable milestone, but it’s still a challenging time. Show that new mum your support with these happy Mother’s Day cards!

Now that you’ve seen the work of our talented design community and have probably acquired a few Mother’s Day card ideas, it’s time to begin your project. There are two ways to customise a card at Zazzle. First, you can pick an existing design, and then edit the text, change the colours and replace the images to make it your own. On the other hand, however, you can take a blank template and add your own artwork, compose an individualised greeting and select a brand-new colour palette! This second route is a tad more convoluted, so let’s walk you through the former method to get some practice in. Experience is the mother of all wisdom, after all!

• Step 1: Select a template you like and click on its thumbnail to be taken to the product page. Alternatively, and if you want to work with non-Mother’s Day cards, visit our central cards hub. Regardless of the recipient, theme or occasion, every card published on Zazzle will be collected here!
• Step 2: Once you're on the product page, choose a desired size, paper type and corner style. You can also exclude white envelopes to secure a small reduction in the price.
• Step 3: Click on 'Personalise' and 'Edit Using Design Tool.' You can then add images and text elements using Zazzle's design interface – this is where you'll add your own personal touch to your product!
• Step 4: Click 'Done' and see your final design! The process is largely the same on our custom cards page, except that you won’t have any pre-established elements to work with or around. It’s easier when you have directions, though, so hopefully you’re feeling more confident now!

Even though we really love our mothers, expressing our admiration and affection for them in new ways year after year can be tough! First of all, try to simply thank your mother: say how much you appreciate their warmth, wisdom, hard work and support. A second idea would be to recall a special memory you have with your mother or grandmother, and relate that anecdote in your card. First-time mothers could use some reassurance and encouragement, so if you’re sending this card to your daughter or partner, for example, then advise them about how well they’re doing. Some of our favourite Mother’s Day card messages include "I’ve got your back, because you’ve always got mine," "Everything I know about motherhood, I’ve learned from you" and "Thanks for the laughs, the listening, and the love." An important tip, though, is not to go overboard; a short, genuine message on your card or Mother’s Day gift will work a lot better than a long, schmaltzy monologue!
