Mosaic of OldGold colour of the Alhambra Makeup Bag
Mosaic of OldGold colour of the Alhambra. Design 1.4. For this design - mosaics (ornaments) I used real images photographed in the architectural and park ensemble of the Alhambra, Granada, Spain. The past centuries left their imprint on the creations of ancient masters, which required me to do a little work on editing and restoration of the original images. At the same time, I tried not to make significant changes to the historical images, and do not redraw them again. The Alhambra is an architectural and park ensemble located on a hilly terrace in the city of Granada in Southern Spain. The main development was during the rule of the Muslim Nasrid dynasty (1230-1492), under which Granada became the capital of the Granada Emirate on the Iberian Peninsula, and the Alhambra was their residence. The large complex, enclosed in fortress walls with towers, also included mosques, houses, baths, gardens, warehouses, a cemetery. The patios, passages, fountains and water bodies are perfectly combined with each other. Ceramic tiles, carvings on stone and wood, bizarre plant ornaments and Arabic ligature form a magnificent ornamental decoration of arches, arches, graceful columns, slender columns and carved figured windows. Many consider the Alhambra to be the highest achievement of Moorish art in Western Europe. The Alhambra is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
