Morgan Commemorative Silver Dollar Obverse ~ * ~ Watch

In 1876, George T. Morgan began creating a series of new coin designs at the behest of Director of the Mint, Dr. Henry R. Linderman. Morgan opted to use the profile of an American girl to depict the Goddess of Liberty instead of simply creating an imaginary figure for the obverse of his new design. After he rejected several possible candidates, Morgan's friend, artist Thomas Eakins, recommended Anna Williams of Philadelphia. I really like this style of watch and the artwork has a nice design with an urban, young vibe to it. I really like it! The artwork is really clean and tidy, it works because the Artwork design is simple and not cluttered, yet effective. It is quite a bulky watch but you get use to it after a while. Worth the buy I reckon!
