It shows Monna Giovanna, who is a female character from the Mediaeval Italian author Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron. She was widely considered to be one of the most beautiful and charming woman that had ever lived in Florence. She is shown here in a beautiful garden: there are flowers and trees behind her, including a row of pink roses. She is wearing an elegant dress and necklace. Her hair is red, like her lips, and her eyes are blue. She is, without doubt, a great beauty.
