King Leonidas and his brave Spartans died in the mountain gap of Thermopylae, but his legendary words and the heroic deeds of all the Spartans inspired the Greeks to rally and eventually defeat the Persians at Salamia and Plataea. Those words still inspire us today and give us strength to defy tyrants who would demand our weapons, our means of self defence, and our control of our destinies as FREE MEN.. MOLON LABE!
