宫本武藏: Miyamoto Musashi was a Japanese swordsman, philosopher, writer and ronin. Musashi, as he was often simply known, became renowned through stories of his excellent and unique double-bladed swordsmanship and undefeated record in his 61 duels. He was the founder of the Nito-Ichi-ryu style of swordsmanship (二天一流) and in his final years authored The Book of Five Rings (五輪の書), and The Path of Aloneness (獨行道). 二刀流劍豪: Double blade style swordmaster. In the background is the statue of Miyamoto Musashi in Okayama Prefecture, and beside his name is the samurai signature of Musashi.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
